Increasing Link Popularity

Search engines are the gateway to the Internet; they are the first tool that potential customers use to find the products and services they need. This is why link popularity is so imperative. If the customers do not find your website, you have no possibilities of making any sales.

You’re probably wondering what the blazes is popular about a link! Well, in a word - plenty! Link popularity refers to the ranking assigned to your website by the search engines, and it determines the ranking your page gets when keywords are entered into a search engine. So, you’re probably wondering, how do I make my link popular?

Search engines are discretionary, giving status and ranking to sites that have links to their pages from related, quality sites. It’s a simple formula, but a very important one. Google created the system, and now virtually all the most …..

Goodbye To Google

Do you dream of the day when your online business no longer depends on the everchanging whims of Google and to what makes a good or bad ranking, spending time collecting thousands of back links then find that they are probably worthlessbecause the anchor text does not contain a suitable keyword, or the site does not have sufficient page rank, or whatever the latest algorithm is.

Why buy expensive cloaking tools and run the risk of penalization or be bothered about whether a domain has a static or dynamic IP address or have to use different hosts to make a network of minisites.

Harvey Segal used to follow the herd and was told all he needed to do was provide good relevant content.

No he believes all that is nonsense.

He has a huge site devoted solely to ClickBank, the only one of its kind. If you wanted to find the most relevant content for a search on the keyword ‘ClickBank’ don’t you think that would be at the top?

Well Google used to agree with you.

It was ranked number 2, with only ClickBank.com itself at number one.

Today it is ranked … wait for it … number 426.

It is beaten out of sight by sites, which have nothing to do with ClickBank but happen to mention that keyword once, so Harvey asked a search engine expert about this and he suggested that it was due to keyword density, in other words too many mentions of the word ClickBank.

Well that has to be the case - the site is after all a ‘Complete Guide to ClickBank’

His advice - try replacing the word ClickBank occasionally e.g. use ‘CB’.

That was the last straw for Harvey and became the inspiration for him to develop a revolutionary approach to getting traffic. It led to him being called ‘The Guru who said goodbye to Google’ in the marketing forums.

And this new approach?

It uses some of the fundamental pillars of Internet marketing that you already know - techniques, which will never become obsolete. But they are combined together in a new way and with a viral twist that you won’t have seen before. It includes giving out free information in a certain way and Harvey shows you how exactly in his book, The Ultimate SuperTip.

And just to illustrate the principle: the book is free.

And Harvey doesn’t even ask for your contact details.

And no matter what the fear-mongers have to say about the dangers of the Internet, the simple fact is – most people in the world fall well within the normal and just want to read about subjects they are interested in. Is there a lot of porn and other sorts of garbage, sure there is . . . but the vast majority of topics written about online are just regular everyday stuff.
Most, if not all businesses are starting to realize the proliferation of the online business will definitely boost their income-generating potential. To be sure, not everybody, but most of them.

However, most online entrepreneurs contend that for an online business to generate good income in the Internet, the business must have its own product. This is because everything is a sale, even the thoughts that you have in your mind could count as a product for sale when presented in the Internet for other people’s use.
But contrary to most popular beliefs, having your own product does not limit you to the many possibilities of earning more by using . . . Read more…

E-Book Marketing Exposed

E-Books – Profit-Pulling Powerhouses

E-Books are part of the new frontier of cyberspace. They are an entirely new medium for sharing marketing information, ideas, techniques, and expert knowledge. Each day the number of people accessing the Internet grows, causing the exposure of your E-Book to increase incrementally. It’s obvious why electronic self-publishing has become so popular so quickly.

The publishing industry, I hope, does not intend to forever banish the printed word to the dustbin of history. Books in print have their own special qualities and merits, and the world would be diminished by their disappearance.

Having said that, let’s look at what makes E-Books so important and so unique.

• E-Books have certain abilities and qualities that other mediums do not possess. For example, E-Books are fairly easy to produce, and their production cost is inexpensive. Just think about it: you don’t need a publisher, an agent, a printing press, offset film, ink, paper, or even a distributor. You just need a great concept, the ability to write it or to hire a writer, and the right software. Read more…

Search Engines and How They Work

Search Engines are special sites on the Web that are designed to help people find information stored on other sites. There are differences in the ways various Search Engines work, but they all perform three basic tasks:

They search the Internet - or select pieces of the Internet - based on important words,

They keep an index of the words they find, and where they find them, and

They allow users to look for words or combinations of words found in that index.

Early Search Engines held an index of a few hundred thousand pages and documents, and received maybe one or two thousand inquiries each day. Today, a top Search Engine will index hundreds of millions of pages, and respond to tens of millions of queries per day.

Before a Search Engine can tell you where a file or document is, it must be found. To find information on the hundreds of millions of Web pages that exist, a Search Engine employs special software robots, called spiders, to build lists of the words found on Web sites.

When a spider is building its lists, the process is called web crawling.
In order to build and maintain a useful list of words, a Search Engine’s spiders have to look at a lot of pages. How does any spider start its travels over the Web? The usual starting points are lists of heavily used servers and very popular pages. The spider will begin with a popular site, indexing the words on its pages and following every link found within the site. In this way, the spidering system quickly begins to travel, spreading out across the most widely used portions of the Web. Read more…

List Building Strategies

List Building - Your Bread & Butter

“Bread and Butter!” That is what people say who are walking along and an obstacle comes between them. They release one another’s hand and walk on either side of the obstacle, then rejoin hands and say, “Bread and Butter”. It’s symbolic. Bread and butter belong together.

Another way the term ‘Bread and Butter’ is used is to denote the main substance of an enterprise. “That trick is his ‘Bread and Butter’ trick.” This means that it is the backbone of his act and that he depends on it and relies on it regularly to sustain him.

Both interpretations of the term ‘Bread and Butter’ apply to list building and Internet Marketing. You just can’t have one without the other. You can’t separate the two because they belong together and, likewise; they are the sustaining part of an Internet marketers business.

List building is the first, most important and most constant of all the tasks that Internet marketers engage in. Their lists are their bread and butter and their lists and their businesses belong together. Neither can exist without the other.  Read more…
